Placid Hills Stables, located in Brunswick, NY, is offering the Capital District an unmatched equestrian experience. The Stables are situated on 110 acres of breathtaking rolling hills ten minutes from downtown Troy. The property offers miles of trails, ample turnout and numerous riding arenas. Placid Hills accommodates every rider from pleasure to top show circuit competitor. We are proud to represent a diversity of disciplines; Eventing, Dressage, Hunter / Jumper, Western, Saddle Seat, Driving and Pleasure Riding. The diversity represented fosters an open-minded atmosphere which allows for a uniquely rich experience. Our philosophy is grounded in providing a fulfilling equestrian experience to all; from child to adult from novice to advanced. We are dedicated to offering a positive atmosphere for horse and rider with quality care and attention to individual needs. Our staff lives on premise to ensure the well being of your horses.
Placid Hills lesson program caters to beginner through advanced level riders. For those who are not yet avid horseman but would like to participate in the equestrian experience, the stables will provide you with a suitable horse.
Placid Hills also has horses available for lease. If you are looking to enjoy the barn atmosphere a few times a week, however do not want the full commitment of owning your own horse this may be an appropriate choice for you. Inquire via email.
Facility Overview
South Barn: 18 stalls, 12' x 12', rubber matted with windows. Washstall with hot/cold water, washer/dryer, bathroom, 2 tackrooms.
North Barn: 26 stalls total: 22 are 12'x12', 4 are 12' x 14'. Rubber matted, automatic waters, stall doors allow horses to have heads out. Heated grooming and wash area, tack room, and bathroom.
Indoor Arena: 72' by 270' with sliding divider. Indoor is connected to North and South Barns.
2) Outdoor Arenas 80 x 220
Outdoor Track: Gorgeous stone track with great drainage. Rideable after heavy rains. Wonderful for driving or conditioning.
Access to 200+ acres of riding on rolling hills.

Heated tack rooms, bathrooms, & washstalls.
